Nutley Summer Music Program

 

Nutley Music Boosters is pleased to once again offer the Nutley Summer Music Program!


In partnership with the Nutley School District, this summer enrichment program for Grades 3-12 offers small group lessons in all string and band instruments, as well as voice and piano.


Additional courses offered include a new Musical Theatre Boot Camp, Sound/Music Fundamentals Course, Chamber Ensemble, and Jazz combo.


Last year, we surveyed families and used the feedback to revamp the entire program. New features for 2023 include a set class schedule, new classes and lessons based on playing ability to help our students become the very best they can be!

PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • The Nutley Summer Music Program is a perfect opportunity for students, whether they are beginners or more advanced students, to continue their music studies. It is open to students who will be entering third grade for the 2023-2024 school year (current second grade students) all the way through high school. The summer music lessons are offered for voice, orchestral string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass), and band instruments (brass, woodwind and percussion instruments).

  • Grades for classes are based on the grade the student will be in SEPTEMBER 2023.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • PLEASE FOLLOW THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS TO REGISTER:

    • Parents will be required to create an account or use their existing Membership Toolkit account to login.

      • The Summer Music Registration Forms will automatically be listed under your "My Account" Page for each student.

      • If you DO NOT see the Summer Music Program Registration Form on your My Account page for all of your students, there is 2 possible reasons.

        1. You student's current grade is incorrect in your profile.

        2. Your student is not added in your profile.

        To correct this, please visit your Directory Profile.  This is also a good time to update any of your information that we have on file also!

    • Payment types accepted include:

      • Cash

      • Check (made payable to NMBA)

        Please write your student's name in the memo line.

        There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.

      • Credit Card

      • Student Fundraising Account

    • Registration Deadline is FRIDAY, JUNE 16, 2023.

FEES

  • 1st Instrumental or Voice Lesson: $125

  • 2nd Instrumental or Voice Lesson: $100

  • Music & Sound Fundamentals: $125

  • Musical Theatre or Jazz Combo: $150 each

LOCATION AND DATES

  • Classes will be held July 17 - 28, 2023 at John H. Walker Middle School.

    • Drop-Off/Pick Up Door will be communicated before classes begin.

  • Students will meet for a total of 5 - 1 hour instructional periods per course.

    • Class meeting dates are marked by an "X" on the schedule.

  • Makeup dates, if needed will be scheduled with your teacher.
